We thought you might be interested in how we farm and why we do what we do! We are old fashioned farmers. We believe in farming like it used to be. Remember the stories you used to hear about farmers from years gone by? They had crops and produce to feed their families with fresh fruits, veggies, and grains. They also had pigs and chickens and cows to provide meat, eggs, and milk. This is what we believe in! This is farming! We believe in a truly diversified farm, and this is what we have done. We believe this is better for the environment and better for us. We are both farmers and students of the world God has created around us. We notice that in the "wild", plants don't grow by themselves, nor do animals. They grow together. Different plants and different animals exist together and they do it well! This is the model we follow. We rotate our pastures and crop lands so we don't ruin them, we graze different species of animals together because it works better that way! We don't raise animals in confinement, we use cover crops to protect our soil and we let our animals graze our crops after we're done. Nothing goes to waste and our crops and animals are healthy and nutritous. We try to work together with the natural world around us instead of against it. Our land is valuable to us and to future generations. Our goal is to farm and farm responsibly. We can't farm and do what we love if we don't take care of this earth that we have been given! So we're old fashioned farmers. We love it and wouldn't have it any other way!
